Albert L. Richey

Albert L. Richey retired from Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in August 2016 after serving as Senior Vice President Finance and Treasurer from January 2013 to August 2016. From January 2009 to December 2012, he served as Vice President, Special Projects. From December 2005 through December 2008 he served as Vice President, Corporate Development. Mr. Richey joined Anadarko in 1987 as Manager of Treasury Operations. He was named Treasurer later that year and was named Vice President in 1995. Mr. Richey’s background in the oil and gas industry includes The Offshore Company (a predecessor company to Transocean Ltd.), United Energy Resources and Sandefer Oil & Gas. Mr. Richey received a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce in 1971 from the University of Virginia. In 1974, he earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia. Mr. Richey currently serves as a director of KYN and KMF and previously served as a member of the Board of Directors the Boys & Girls Clubs of Houston and Boy Scouts of America. In addition to his background in the energy industry, Mr. Richey’s professional experience related to financial matters and his role as an executive in one of the largest independent domestic exploration and production companies equip him to offer further insights to the Board.
